Evidence Review Unit Chief, Kristin King and E.R.U. Investigator, Justin Walters instructed our interns today about the unit's role in prosecuting cases. E.R.U. is responsible for identifying, requesting and reviewing all digital audio/video evidence generated by police during the course of criminal investigations. Police body-worn cameras, vehicle dash cameras, cellular phone videos/data and recorded witness interviews are examples of the media they process.
Chief Counsel Joyce King, named “Woman of the Year” by the Frederick County Commission of Women, accepted her award at tonight’s RAVING ABOUT WOMEN (R.A.W.) Event hosted by the Arc at Market Street. This awards ceremony recognizes amazing women in our community during Women’s History Month. The commission honored Joyce’s outstanding achievements in public safety. One of the Commission’s goals is to advocate for our county's constituency to the legislature, the judiciary, the executive, the media, and the public.
