This professional position is assigned to the Juvenile Division of the State's Attorney's Office, with responsibility for presenting assigned cases and trial work in the Juvenile Court. This position serves as a coordinator for the Youthful Offenders Program which educates and redirect juveniles on a negative path. The position responsibilities include mentoring youth during community outreach, hosting educational events with guest speakers, and providing referrals to encourage law-abiding behavior. The role requires strong public speaking, interviewing, and rapport-building skills. When not working with youth, the position acts as an investigator for juveniles, reviewing police investigations, gathering evidence, coordinating between agencies, and supporting case prosecution.
