Alexis Lucas Sentenced to 30 Years & Tierra Lucas Sentenced to 7 1/2 Years
FREDERICK – Tierra Lucas, 30, of Frederick, Maryland appeared before the Honorable Scott L. Rolle and was sentenced to 30 years to serve for Second Degree Murder.
Alexis Lucas, 24, of Frederick, Maryland appeared before the Honorable Richard Sandy and was sentenced to 30 years, suspend all but 7 years and 6 months. Alexis Lucas will receive credit for the time she has served since her arrest. The remainder of her sentence will be served in the Division of Correction and she will be placed on 5 years supervised probation upon release.
Both defendants will have to serve a minimum of 50 percent of their sentence before being eligible for parole as they were convicted of crimes of violence.
On April 4, 2016, Frederick Police Officers responded to the 300 Block of N. Market St. in the area of Olde Towne Tavern. The victim, Brian Graves, had been stabbed and was taken by helicopter to Baltimore for treatment where he later succumbed to his injuries. Surveillance video, numerous tips, and a cell phone video led to Tierra Lucas and Alexis Lucas being identified as the suspects in this case.
On April 6, 2017, Tierra Lucas, was found guilty of Second Degree Murder after a 7 day jury trial presided over by the Honorable Scott L. Rolle.
On April 21, 2017, Alexis Lucas, pled guilty to Attempted Second Degree Murder before the Honorable Richard Sandy.
“We were certainly pleased to see the Judge give Tierra Lucas the maximum sentence for Second Degree Murder, and consider 7 ½ Years for Alexis’ role in handing her the knife a substantial punishment as well. But nothing will ever bring back Brian Graves”, stated Frederick County State’s Attorney Charlie Smith.
