Jury Finds Eukpeeh Lloyd Guilty of 2nd Degree Child Abuse and 2nd Degree Assault
FREDERICK – A Frederick County Jury returned a guilty verdict against Eukpeeh Lloyd, 41, of Middletown, Maryland on 2 counts of 2nd Degree Child Abuse and 2 counts 2nd Degree Assault. The trial began June 15, 2017 and the jury deliberated for approximately one hour before returning a guilty verdict on 4 of 6 counts. The defendant was found not guilty of 2 counts of First Degree Assault.
On October 21, 2016 a Frederick County Sheriff’s Office Deputy was dispatched to the Law Enforcement Center for a domestic report. It was reported that the victim in this case, a 13 year old boy had been beaten with a metal broomstick handle and whipped with an extension cord for not properly cleaning a bathroom. The victim had a 4 – 5 inch gash in his leg above his knee, a round wound on his arm, whip marks on his back and had multiple visible scars from a prior assault.
The Honorable Julia A. Martz-Fisher granted the State’s motion to revoke bond and ordered a pre-sentence investigation. Sentencing is scheduled for August 25, 2017.
