The Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office is committed to assisting and supporting the victims and witnesses of crime in Frederick County. We have experienced and trained professional Victim Witness Coordinators who are assigned to each division.
Am I needed for court?
Maryland Crime Victims' Resource Center, Inc. now offers free mental health services to victims of crime. Please call the MCVRC at 301-952-0063, to receive free counseling for individuals or families. Click here:www.mdcrimevictims.org/free-mental-health-services/Service details:1. Type of services provided: individual counseling, group counseling, family counseling, counseling for children, and medication dispensing and monitoring.2. Services for the victim and their immediate family (if needed) provided.3. Services are available virtually and in person. It may take a few weeks to get in with an in-person counselor depending on client’s needs and location. Virtual counseling is available within a week.4. Services are available in person as far north as Frederick, as far south as Waldorf, and throughout the greater D.C. and Baltimore areas. If this is too far, there are many virtual clinicians available as well.

The Child Advocacy Center of Frederick County MD shared their mission today with our Intern Clerkship Students. The child and family-focused center provides a safe place for children and their families to access community resources. Partnering with public safety agencies, the CAC’s goal is to reduce trauma to children and their families. The CAC works closely with our Special Victim’s Unit, Domestic Violence Unit, and Juvenile Division. Thank you CAC!
